Hello. My name is Maria Stigma.
My husband John and I
married in June of 1991, and we had family dreams. You know those
ideas of raising children together and becoming a successful middle
class family. Well that all changed the year after we married. My
husband became diabetic, and his baby making abilities turned to trash,
he became crippled in a wheelchair. He could not even work, let alone
help me have a baby. So here I am staring out the window, and realizing
all our dreams have vanished. Of course, his doctor could have given him
insulin, but that would have decreased his doctor's profits.
I could have divorced him, but ethically and morally that would have been the wrong thing to do. So, I sit here lookout out this shattered window as I live in the poverty district of Trenchville City, watching the gangsters peddle drugs and the pimps brewing business for their prostitutes. Life sucks as a diabetic's wife, but on the other hand the doctors live in luxury as if kings.
Doctors failed my husband at every turn. The eye doctor, the dentist and even his doctor should have detected his diabetes sooner. Bleeding gums represented the first sign that he needed insulin, his vision problems should have detected the issue too. When he started pissing and his urine came out as sticky has corn syrup and when he ate noodles and they came out as noodles in the bathroom, anybody with any medical knowledge should have realized he had diabetes. Instead, a co-worker, another diabetic figure it out and had him test his blood sugar.
"Oh crap," his co-worked exclaimed when the reading came back over 1,000."
I went to the Trenchville City Library and discovered all sorts of information about diabetes. Insulin restores the bones, the intestines, the brain, the kidneys, the immune system and sexual abilities. But listen to what my husband had to say:
"That is not what my doctor said. He just said take these little pills, watch your diet and by the way diabetes is a progressive disease."
That is not what science says. Scientific research indicates that insulin can totally stop the diseases progression if the correct type of insulin is used. Many companies make insulin and they are not all effective. One of the most effective known is lispro according to Nel Kort, the man who fled into exile. You can read the book Diabetes Axis of Evil and learn all about that amazing story. The drug companies killed Doctor Bob and then framed Kort because he opposed the drugs.
But for me, no sex and no money because I am married to a diabetic who thinks doctors are God and accepts the pill approach when insulin is the only effective method to restore a diabetic to full health. More

For diabetics, the American Prosperity and Success Dream turns to
ashes. Because of the predjudial attitude toward diabetics, they end up
living in Trenchville City slum.
Their cars break down, and they have no money for repairs, their homes crumble and they have no money to fix and when their health turns to crap the doctors drain their bank accounts when they ask doctors to restore their health. Instead, the sick people receive bags and bags of pills. When their kidneys fail, the government pays for the medical treatment. The doctors benefit. Why do you think doctors continuously smile? It is not because they are great public servants, but it is because they love the money. You the patient must pay them on the average about $11,000 per year. Medicine is a great system as long as you are part of the privileged who gets paid. And if the nation gets a National Health Care system passed, then the privileged will become even more privileged. Doctors and universities will use the system to research more drugs for diabetics. But diabetes is not a virus, a run away growing cancer cell nor a bacterial infection. So how do you think a drug will fix a metabolic problem? I can tell you quite frankly. No drug will fix the diabetes problem, at least no doctor has provided me with medical proof. Essentially, without insulin you are screwed unless you inject this hormone externally.
That is right, you need a hormone not a drug. In fact, if you could take insulin in a pill form, then the doctors would prescribe the pill right and left. Unfortunately, doctors can only think in terms of pills and wealth, their wealth.
The Flexner report of 1910 legitimized drugs only for treating diseases and the establishment of the privileged doctors ripping off sick people. That is right. Only pills are acceptable in the field of medicine. And when doctors have to give insulin to anyone over the age 18, they always look so disappointed because that means they will not profit as much.
